Bad Statistics about Age-based Covid Deaths

PL offers an article that (mostly) talks about how likely you will die of covid-19 if you get it. Here is a quick list they offer of how likely you are to die based on age:

  • Over 70: 25%
  • 60-70: 12%
  • 50-60: 6%
  • Under 50, 2%

Now, I wonder what the percentages would look like for "have a chronic health problem"? For example, would 12% people in the 60-70 year range have diabetes, cancer, heart disease, ...

This problem clearly isn't unique to Guatemala but I am suggesting how healthy you are is way more important than your age. Do you take care of yourself? Good nutrition? Exercise? Supplements? ...
